Formation of Highly Selective Binding Pockets in UiO‐Type MOFs From Bridged Linkers
Much room for design: We present a generalizable strategy for precisely modifying UiO‐type Metal‐organic frameworks with functional groups in a site‐specific manner. Through the use of pre‐connected linkers, pocket‐like pores for molecular recognition are generated.

ABSTRACT Carbon capture technologies are poised to become one of the primary focuses regarding the achievement of net‐zero emissions by the year 2050. In these technologies, particular attention is given to post‐combustion CO2 capture, which is more easily implemented at existing power stations and other industries.

Synergetic effect between NiO and Ni3V2O8 in propane oxidative dehydrogenation
The oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of propane was investigated on Ni-V-O catalysts in a wide range of vanadium contents (5-40%). The addition of a small amount of vanadium significantly increased the catalytic activity of NiO for oxidative ...

Possible therapeutic repositioning of valproic acid: From epileptic seizures to acute kidney injury
Valproic acid, an anticonvulsant, may be repositioned to prevent acute kidney injury due to ischemia followed by reperfusion. It preserves renal functions, electrolyte homeostasis and active sodium transport in kidney tubules, and blocks the onset of hypertension.

Oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane and propane over Mn-based catalysts
The catalytic performances of Mn-based catalysts have been investigated for the oxidative dehydrogenation of both ethane (ODE) and propane (ODP). The results show that a LiCl/MnOx/PC (Portland cement) catalyst has an excellent catalytic performance for ...
