Viscoelastic propellant effects on Space Shuttle Dynamics [PDF]
The program of solid propellant research performed in support of the space shuttle dynamics modeling effort is described. Stiffness, damping, and compressibility of the propellant and the effects of many variables on these properties are discussed.

Retrospective Review on Reticular Materials: Facts and Figures Over the Last 30 Years
To shape the future course of research in reticular materials, this work reflects on the progress over the past 30 years, complemented by input from the community of 228 active researchers through a global, crowdsourced survey: ranging from demographics, how it works, publish and interact, to highlights on both academic and industrial milestones, as ...

Hierarchically porous covalent organic frameworks (hCOFs) are constructed using a solvothermal template‐induced synthetic strategy. Commercially available zinc oxide nanoparticles are employed as hard template enabling an increase in total pore volume in a series of COFs.

Trajectory Generation for Underactuated Multirotor Vehicles with Tilted Propellers via a Flatness-based Method [PDF]
This paper considers a class of rotary-wing aerial robots with unaligned propellers. By studying the dynamics of these vehicles, we show that the position and heading angle remain flat outputs of the system (similar to conventional quadrotors). The implication is that they can be commanded to follow desired trajectory setpoints in 3D space.

Passive propellant system [PDF]
The system utilizes a spherical tank structure A separated into two equal volume compartments by a flat bulkhead B. Each compartment has four similar gallery channel legs located in the principal vehicle axes, ensuring that bulk propellant will contact ...

Engineering Magnetotactic Bacteria as Medical Microrobots
Magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) are living microorganisms that produce magnetosomes for navigation using the Earth's geomagnetic field. Their built‐in magnetic components, along with their intrinsic and/or modified biological functions, make them one of the most promising platforms for making future living and programmable microrobots.

Formation of self-propelling clusters starting from randomly dispersed Brownian particles [PDF]
We present a simple chemical strategy for the formation of a self-propelling cluster via the process of capture and assembly of passive colloids on the surface of a chemically active colloid. The two species of colloids that are isotropic and Brownian otherwise interact to form propelling cluster.
