Gain-Scheduled Control of Asymmetric Thrust Magnetic Bearing
The thrust position of the magnetic levitation rotor can be changed, bringing convenience to the practical application of cold compressors. This paper derives the mathematical model of asymmetric thrust magnetic bearings for a cold compressor and ...

Dispensing Volumetric Additive Manufacturing
Dispensing volumetric additive manufacturing (DVAM) prints 3D structures inside a photocurable resin droplet suspended from the tip of a glass pipette, enabling sequential printing without resin vats or manual part removal. Real‐time droplet profiling and ray‐tracing‐based correction compensate for optical distortion at the curved resin‐air interface ...

The Role of Thrusters in Space Systems [PDF]
Spacecrafts, such as artificial satellites and space probes have small rockets called thrusters for orbital maneuvering, and satellite attitude control. These thrusters produce thrust by exhausting gases from their nozzles.

The geometric burning law of gun propellants is widely used in computer codes used for the simulations of the internal ballistics of guns. However, the results of closed vessel tests prove that the burning process of some propellants deviates from the ...

Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.
