Multimodal Bioinspired Self‐Healing Composites Enabling Durable and High‐Efficiency Wearable Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Butterfly wing–inspired intrinsically self‐healing polymer interlayers enable flexible perovskite optoelectronics with high luminance, strain‐insensitive stability, and environmental resilience. These hierarchically structured films redistribute mechanical stress, suppress defect formation, and maintain performance under repeated bending, paving the ...

Operando Visualization of Cathode Water Management in Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers Using Synchrotron X‐Ray Radiography

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cathode of proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers remains a poorly understood region despite its importance for hydrogen purity and operational safety. Operando synchrotron X‐ray radiography directly visualizes liquid water behavior and uncovers a transition from continuous to pulsating transport, providing new insight into multiphase ...

TECTB Variants Reveal Tectorial Membrane Vulnerability in Dominant Non‐Syndromic Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TECTB is a non‐collagenous protein of the tectorial membrane – an extracellular matrix of the cochlea. This study identifies dominant missense variants in TECTB linked to human hereditary deafness in two unrelated families. Genetically engineered mice homozygous for one of the variants are profoundly deaf, whereas heterozygous mice have normal hearing ...

Understanding Propene (Amm)oxidation over Mixed Metal Oxide Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Worldwide, approximately 10 billion pounds of acrylonitrile are produced each year by the ammoxidation of propene over multi-phase, multi-component bismuth-molybdate-based catalysts. This ammoxidation process is a six-electron redox reaction requiring co-

Propene-norbornene copolymers: Synthesis and microstructure

open access: yes, 2004
Series of propene-norbornene (P-N) copolymers were synthesized in the presence of two C2 symmetric zirconocenes, rac-Et(Indenyl) 2ZrCl2 (1) and rac-Me2Si(Indenyl) 2ZrCl2 (2), and of the Cs symmetric zirconocene Me2C(Cp)(Fluorenyl)ZrCl2 (3) with MAO as ...

Molecular Glue Degraders Enhance CAPRIN1‐Dependent Lysosomal Degradation of APP and Reduce Amyloid β in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of lysosome‐directed molecular glue degraders selectively enhance CAPRIN1–APP interactions, driving APP degradation and reducing amyloid‐β production in human neurons and Alzheimer's disease mouse models. This CAPRIN1‐dependent targeted protein degradation strategy reveals a previously unrecognized therapeutic approach for disrupting the ...

Enhancing sorption kinetics by oriented and single crystalline array-structured ZSM-5 film on monoliths

open access: yesNature Communications
To enhance the reaction kinetics without sacrificing activity in porous materials, one potential solution is to utilize the anisotropic distribution of pores and channels besides enriching active centers at the reactive surfaces.

Greener Solvents for the Photoisomerization and Catalytic Heat Release of a Norbornadiene‐Based Molecular Solar Thermal Energy Storage System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Molecular Solar Thermal (MOST) system combining a scalable norbornadiene–quadricyclane photoswitch, a biodegradable solvent, propylene carbonate, and noble and first‐row metal catalysts, is presented. Propylene carbonate boosts photoisomerization quantum yield by 25% compared to toluene, prolongs energy storage by an additional 15 days, and enables ...
