New Biobased Polyester Polyols With Tunable Tg Values From 4‐Vinylguaiacol‐Derived Monomers

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
Biobased low‐molecular‐weight polyesters were obtained by ROCOP of guaiacol‐derived epoxides with cyclic anhydrides. Varying the length of the acyl moieties on the epoxides and the cyclic anhydride structures, it is possible to tune the Tg's within an 80 ºC wide temperature range.

Heterogenisation of ketone catalysts within mesoporous supports for asymmetric epoxidation

open access: yes, 2013
The synthesis of the first mesoporous silica (150 Å) anchored carbohydrate-derived chiral ketone is described. This new heterogeneous catalyst has been shown to be effective in the asymmetric epoxidation of olefins by oxone.

MCF Material as an Attractive Support for Vanadium Oxide Applied as a Catalyst for Propene Epoxidation with N2O

open access: yesCatalysis Letters, 2018
Vanadium modified mesocellular silica foams (MCF) materials (V content ca. 3 and 5 wt%) prepared by the impregnation method show mainly isolated or low-polymeric VOx species, which was confirmed by means of Raman spectroscopy and DR UV–Vis.

Enhancement of catalyst performance in the direct propene epoxidation: a study into gold-titanium synergy

open access: yes, 2013
Enhanced productivity toward propene oxide in the direct propene epoxidation with hydrogen and oxygen over gold nanoparticles supported on titanium-grafted silica was achieved by adjusting the gold–titanium synergy.

How metallic is gold in the direct epoxidation of propene: an FTIR study

open access: yesCatalysis Science & Technology, 2013
Unraveling the oxidation state of gold is important to understand the role of gold in direct propene epoxidation on gold–titania catalysts. A Fourier transform infrared study of low-temperature carbon monoxide adsorption was performed over Au/TiO2 and Au/Ti–SiO2 under an atmosphere of the reaction mixture of oxygen, hydrogen, and propene.

Simultaneous Photoactivation of Copper and Ti‐Doped CeO2−x Enables Optimal Acceleration of the RWGS Reaction

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
A combination of visible light and thermal energy accelerates the CO formation rate up to 57 times compared to dark conditions using a 3Cu/CeTiO2−x catalyst. Kinetic analysis, as well as steady state and transient spectroscopy, was applied under photocatalytic conditions to analyze and disentangle the reaction channels under dark and illuminated ...
