Glider representations of group algebra filtrations of nilpotent groups
We continue the study of glider representations of finite groups $G$ with given structure chain of subgroups $e \subset G_1 \subset \ldots \subset G_d = G$.

High resolution digital image correlation using proper generalized decomposition: PGD‐DIC [PDF]
SUMMARYA new method is proposed to measure the finite element (FE) displacement field from a deformed image in comparison with a reference one. In opposition to standard FE approaches, the unknown displacement is sought as a sum of products of separated dimension functions.

This study presents a copper ion irradiation method to achieve the modification function of BiOCl. By using high‐energy ion beams to introduce impurity ions inside the material, the intrinsic electric field of BiOCl is optimized, promoting the separation of photogenerated carriers and enhancing the photocatalytic activity.

Understanding the failure of brittle heterogeneous materials is essential in many applications. Heterogeneities in material properties are frequently modeled through random fields, which typically induces the need to solve finite element problems for a ...

MgF2 exhibits a speed‐dependent mechanoluminescence (ML) color distribution arising from distinct ML lifetimes, showing blue emission under slow sliding and multicolor emission under fast sliding. A promising method for evaluating ML lifetime is proposed based on the trailing effect. By synergistically integrating instantaneous and persistent ML with a

An intrinsic Proper Generalized Decomposition for parametric symmetric elliptic problems
We introduce in this paper a technique for the reduced order approximation of parametric symmetric elliptic partial differential equations. For any given dimension, we prove the existence of an optimal subspace of at most that dimension which realizes ...

On the structure of nonarchimedean analytic curves
Let K be an algebraically closed, complete nonarchimedean field and let X be a smooth K-curve. In this paper we elaborate on several aspects of the structure of the Berkovich analytic space X^an.

A Group Condensation Method Based on Proper Orthogonal Decomposition
The group condensation is a key process of the two-step method and is the guarantee of efficiency of the two-step method. However, the group condensation of the two-step method also reduces the energy resolution and leads to the calculation errors.

Toward Optimality of Proper Generalised Decomposition Bases
The solution of structural problems with nonlinear material behaviour in a model order reduction framework is investigated in this paper. In such a framework, greedy algorithms or adaptive strategies are interesting as they adjust the reduced order basis
