Proper generalized decomposition of multiscale models [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper the coupling of a parabolic model with a system of local kinetic equations is analyzed. A space–time separated representation is proposed for the global model (this is simply the radial approximation proposed by Pierre Ladeveze in the LATIN framework (Non‐linear Computational Structural Mechanics. Springer: New York, 1999)).

Proper generalized decomposition of time‐multiscale models [PDF]
SUMMARYModels encountered in computational mechanics could involve many time scales. When these time scales cannot be separated, one must solve the evolution model in the entire time interval by using the finest time step that the model implies. In some cases, the solution procedure becomes cumbersome because of the extremely large number of time steps

Proper generalized decomposition solutions within a domain decomposition strategy [PDF]
SummaryDomain decomposition strategies and proper generalized decomposition are efficiently combined to obtain a fast evaluation of the solution approximation in parameterized elliptic problems with complex geometries. The classical difficulties associated to the combination of layered domains with arbitrarily oriented midsurfaces, which may require in‐

A Path Planning Algorithm for a Dynamic Environment Based on Proper Generalized Decomposition
A necessity in the design of a path planning algorithm is to account for the environment. If the movement of the mobile robot is through a dynamic environment, the algorithm needs to include the main constraint: real-time collision avoidance.

COUPLING FINITE ELEMENTS AND PROPER GENERALIZED DECOMPOSITIONS [PDF]
Numerous models encountered in science and engineering remain nowadays , despite the impressive recent progresses attained in computational simulation techniques, intractable when the usual and well experienced discretization techniques are applied for their numerical simulation.

Error estimation for proper generalized decomposition solutions: A dual approach [PDF]
SummaryThe proper generalized decomposition is a well‐established reduced order method, used to efficiently obtain approximate solutions of multi‐dimensional problems in a procedure that controls the effects of the “curse of dimensionality.” The question of assessing the quality of the solutions obtained and adapting the approximations assumed, for ...
