Measurement of 1–10 Hz 3D vibration modes with a CT-scanner
A new in situ vibration mode measurement method within a tomograph is proposed based on Projection-based Digital Volume Correlation techniques. Several projection angles are selected and a large number of radiographs of the vibrating sample are acquired ...

Proper Generalized Decomposition based dynamic data driven inverse identification [PDF]
International audience ; Dynamic Data-Driven Application Systems —DDDAS— appear as a new paradigm in the field of applied sciences and engineering, and in particular in simulation-based engineering sciences. By DDDAS we mean a set of techniques that allow the linkage of simulation tools with measurement devices for real-time control of systems and ...

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Kinetic Theory Microstructure Modeling in Concentrated Suspensions
When suspensions involving rigid rods become too concentrated, standard dilute theories fail to describe their behavior. Rich microstructures involving complex clusters are observed, and no model allows describing its kinematics and rheological effects ...

Regularized regressions for parametric models based on separated representations
Regressions created from experimental or simulated data enable the construction of metamodels, widely used in a variety of engineering applications. Many engineering problems involve multi-parametric physics whose corresponding multi-parametric solutions

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.
