Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

ABSTRACT Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates

Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Cross Kingdom Metabolic Engineering Paradigm Elevating Sustainable Protein Production
ABSTRACT Confronting the dual crisis of escalating global protein demand and unsustainable agriculture necessitates transformative solutions. Here, we pioneer evolutionary insights from maize nitrogen optimization via asparagine synthetase (ASNS) to rewire metabolism in Pichia pastoris.

Psychometric Properties of the HEXACO Personality Inventory
Multivariate Behavioral Research, 2004We introduce a personality inventory designed to measure six major dimensions of personality derived from lexical studies of personality structure. The HEXACO Personality Inventory (HEXACO-PI) consists of 24 facet-level personality trait scales that define the six personality factors named Honesty-Humility (H), Emotionality (E), Extraversion (X ...

Psychometric properties of the wife abuse inventory
Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1990It is estimated that approximately 50% of all married couples experience violence during their relationship (Lewis, 1985). The present study (N = 305) investigated the psychometric properties of the Wife Abuse Inventory (WAI), which was designed to identify women at risk for abuse.

The Reasons for Living Inventory: Psychometric Properties
Psychological Reports, 1991The test-retest reliability, internal consistency reliability, normative, and item analysis data of the Reasons for Living Inventory were investigated in a sample of 116 college students. The inventory has six subscales, each of which assesses a category of adaptive beliefs and expectations considered reasons for not committing suicide.

The Panic Appraisal Inventory: Psychometric properties
Behaviour Research and Therapy, 1997We examined the reliability and validity of the Panic Appraisal Inventory (PAI) in a sample of 47 outpatients with DSM-III-R panic disorder. Results showed excellent internal consistency and treatment sensitivity. We found good convergent validity; divergent validity vis-a-vis depression and social adjustment was adequate.

On Properties of Stochastic Inventory Systems
Management Science, 1992For most order quantity/reorder point inventory systems, the stochastic model, which specifies the demands as stochastic processes, is often more accurate than its deterministic counterpart—the EOQ model. However, the application of the stochastic model has been limited because of the absence of insightful analytical results on the model.

Landslide inventories and their statistical properties
Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, 2004AbstractLandslides are generally associated with a trigger, such as an earthquake, a rapid snowmelt or a large storm. The landslide event can include a single landslide or many thousands. The frequency–area (or volume) distribution of a landslide event quantifies the number of landslides that occur at different sizes.
