ABSTRACT Background Adult acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects females. Initial management includes topical and oral medications, but important limitations include ineffectiveness, nonadherence, and adverse effects. Spironolactone has shown good results in off‐label acne management.
