Unforeseen beneficial effect of successful PVC ablation: Achieving migraine attack control without medication

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 41, Issue 4, August 2025.
Successful catheter ablation of frequent PVCs in a patient with PVC‐induced cardiomyopathy resulted in a marked improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), accompanied by complete resolution of migraine with aura attacks. This case illustrates both cardiac and neurological benefits of PVC burden reduction through ablation.

Pharmacokinetic Variability of Amlodipine Serum Concentration and Effect on Blood Pressure in Patients Treated for Hypertension

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 13, Issue 4, August 2025.
Forest plot of the multivariate logistic regression model evaluating odds for uncontrolled hypertension, defined as day‐time systolic ambulatory blood pressure ≥ 135 mmHg in 455 patients with treated hypertension. ABSTRACT We investigated the effects of age, sex, BMI, total number of prescribed daily pills, common biomarkers, and CYP3A4/5 polymorphisms

Gastrin‐Releasing Peptide Facilitates Cholinergically Mediated Contractions of the Mouse Gastric Fundus

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 13, Issue 4, August 2025.
Gastrin‐releasing peptide concentration‐dependently potentiates the cholinergic contractions of mouse gastric fundus circular muscle evoked by electric field stimulation. ABSTRACT Gastrin‐releasing peptide (GRP) and neuromedin B (NMB) are found in the stomach's myenteric plexus and muscular layers.
