Epitaxial piezoelectric α‐quartz/Si BioNEMS sensors, made using soft chemistry, effectively detect the Chikungunya virus. Inducing Chirality and Chiral Instabilities in Ferrogels with Homogenous Magnetic Fields

By pre‐aligning magnetic particles into chains, significant chiral deformations are induced by fixing the base of a cylindrical actuator and applying a homogeneous magnetic field.
