Numerical simulation and process parameter optimization of the eccentric injection stirring hot metal desulfurization process based on mass transfer kinetics

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
As the demand for cleaner high-grade steels increases, sulfur mass transfer during hot-metal desulfurization has become a key limitation affecting steel quality, making mass-transfer intensification in the KR process an important research topic.

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.
