Fixation of Auricular Prostheses by Osseointegrated Implants [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Surgery, 1994
Placement of enosseous implants in the temporal bone may overcome the apparent disadvantages of skin adhesives and skinpockets for the fixation of auricular prostheses. The surgical procedure for placement of implants in the temporal bone and the results obtained in eight patients wearing implant-supported auricular prostheses are described.
