Protective Devices Coordination via Computer Graphics
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1980A method of coordinating short-circuit protective devices by the use of computer-generated graphics is described. Manufacturers' time-current characteristic (TCC) curves for protective devices are stored and used by the program in choosing the ratings and settings of devices to produce a fully coordinated system.

Overcurrent protective device coordination by computer
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1982Overcurrent protective device coordination is defined, and the advantages of computerizing this process are explained. A computer program written by the authors, who are engineers responsible for performing coordination studies, is discussed. The program was written with emphasis on engineering flexibility.

Channel coordination under price protection
2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2008In current market competition companies face with short product life cycle, high demand uncertainty and drastic declines of product values. This study analyses the price protection policy in channel coordination and proposes a two-period dynamic model of optimal price protection rate based on the single ordering.

Computer Aided Protection (Overcurrent) Coordination Studies
2009 Second International Conference on Computer and Electrical Engineering, 2009A well designed and reliable power system requires an efficient and reliable protection scheme with protection coordination at its core. This paper discusses computer aided protection coordination in brief comprising of its significance, procedures and vital components.

2014 IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC), 2014
In this paper, common DC-fault detection methods have been reviewed. Effects of two line-to-line and line-to-ground fault types from various fault locations to operation of the DC system are presented. In addition, operation principle, strong and weak points of four main types of protection devices (including fuses, no-fuse circuit breakers, power ...

Computer-Aided Protective Device Coordination???A Case Study
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1984This paper presents the results of a protective device coordination study of the 1984 Big Rivers Electric Corporation system using a computer-aided approach. The paper illustrates the procedure followed and how a computer program is used to aid the relay engineer.

Algorithmic-Knowledge Based Adaptive Coordination in Transmission Protection
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002Changes in power system operating conditions can affect both the reach point of distance relays and the coordination of distance and overcurrent relays. To improve the performance of the protection system, an adaptive scheme of relay settings is proposed. That is possible since the protection relays became digital .

Distribution protection coordination program using GIS
IET Conference Publications, 2009Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) covers all power distribution lines in Korea. There are 16 districts and 189 branches around the country. To integrate and manage power distribution processes centrally, KEPCO developed the New Distribution Information System (NDIS) based on the GIS (Geographic Information System).

Coordination of protective relays for the protection of micro-grid
2016 International Conference on Energy Efficient Technologies for Sustainability (ICEETS), 2016For effective and efficient use of distributed generation (DG) for consumer at remote areas, the idea of micro-grid has been put forward. Micro-grid (MG) provides mobility to customer; dependability of conventional grid is reduced or even removed after successful implementation of DGs.

Protective device coordination-ideal and practical
Conference Record of the IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2003A relay coordination study should ensure maximum protection of the system components with minimum load removed from the service. It is noted that compromises will be necessary in this objective and that each compromise should receive critical considerations in terms of specific requirements of the plant operations, availability of equipment for restart,
