Protium, an infrastructure for partitioned applications

Proceedings Eighth Workshop on Hot Topics in Operating Systems, 2005
Remote access feels different from local access. The major issues are consistency (machines vary in GUIs, applications, and devices) and responsiveness (the user must wait for network and server delays). Protium attacks these by partitioning programs into local viewers that connect to remote services using application-specific protocols.

Study about sorption of protium and mixture protium–tritium on sponge titanium

Fusion Engineering and Design, 2013
Abstract The Nuclear Power Plant Cernavoda is equipped with a CANDU reactor and is one of the most powerful tritium sources from Europe. The reactor is moderated and cooled with heavy water that is continuous enriched with tritium. The presence of the tritium decreases the capacity of the heavy water to moderate the nuclear reactions. For this reason,

Oxidation of monoterpenes in Protium heptaphyllum oleoresins

Phytochemistry, 2017
Protium heptaphyllum (Burseraceae) oleoresins are rich in volatile monoterpenes, exhibiting a chemical composition that can be strongly altered with time. The present work aimed to discuss the temporal change of the volatile composition of these oleoresins, and search for related supporting evidence. Samples of P.

Triterpenes from the resin of Protium heptaphyllum

Fitoterapia, 2001
From the neutral fraction of the resin of Protium heptaphyllum, a mixture of alpha- and beta-amyrin, a mixture of maniladiol and brein have been isolated as main components, and the novel 3 beta,24-dihydroxy-urs-12-ene (1), 3-oxo-20S-hydroxytaraxastane (2) and 3 beta,20S-dihydroxytaraxastane (3) as minor components. NMR data of the last three compounds

Ti–Cr–X protium absorbing alloys with high protium content for fuel-cell

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2003
Abstract The effects of additional elements to the Ti–Cr alloys on their protium absorption–desorption properties were investigated. Although Ti–Cr alloys with a b.c.c. structure is expected to exhibit a high protium content, it is difficult to obtain single b.c.c. phase quenching from the high temperature.

Fusion-neutron production during protium beam injection into protium—deuterium plasmas

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1979
The small deuterium content of natural hydrogen (1.5 × 10 −4 ) is shown to be capable of influencing neutron diagnostic measurements of neutral—beam—injected magnetically confined fusion plasmas.
