Hexameric polyoxotantalate with proton conduction properties
Chemical Communications, 2023The 1 has the highest nuclearity transition metal cluster in the POTa field, is major breakthrough in the synthesis of POTa. The polyanion can be described as six {Ta6O19} linked by {Fe10.7Ta1.3} cluster. And 1 has excellent proton conductivity.

Parasitic current seems to be the cause for the "highest proton conductivity" of a material reported to date. Kreuer and Wohlfarth verify this hypothesis by measuring the conductivity of the same materials after preparing them in a different way. They further explain the limits of proton conductivity and comment on the problems of determining the ...

Protonic conductivity in hydrates
Solid State Ionics, 1988The protonic conductivity of three acid hydrates, HUO2PO4·4H2O, Ce(HPO4)2·nH2O,V2O5·nH2O has been studied as a function of the partial pressure of water. The evolution of their conductivity is related to experimental water adsorption isotherms and to the theoretical Brunauer adsorption isotherms.

Protonic conduction in NH4H2PO4
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1974Abstract The conductivity of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate has been measured as a function of temperature and dopant concentration. A previously disputed break in the log conductivity vs reciprocal temperature plots has been observed. The activation energy is in agreement with previous work on NH 4 H 2 PO 4 .

Conductivity and intermolecular interactions in proton‐conducting gel electrolytes
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2014ABSTRACTProton‐conducting gel electrolytes based on poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF), and mixtures of PMMA with PVdF or poly(vinyl chloride) doped by acid solutions in aprotic solvents were synthesized and are discussed in this article.

Protonic conduction in Ba2In2O5
Solid State Ionics, 1995Abstract Protonic conduction in Ba 2 In 2 O 5 was studied by conductivity and EMF measurements as a function of temperature and oxygen activity. Evidence for protonic conduction was found in this material in moist atmospheres, especially at low temperatures.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), as newly emerging materials, show compelling intrinsic structural features, e.g., the highly crystalline nature and designable and tunable porosity, as well as tailorable functionality, rendering them suitable for proton-conducting materials. The proton conduction of MOF is significantly improved using the postsynthesis

Proton conductivity through two-dimensional (2-D) hydrogen-bonding networks within a layered metal-organic framework (MOF) (NH4)2(H2adp)[Zn2(ox)3]·3H2O (H2adp = adipic acid; ox = oxalate) has been successfully controlled by cation substitution. We synthesized a cation-substituted MOF, K2(H2adp)[Zn2(ox)3]·3H2O, where the ammonium ions in a well-defined ...

Protonic conduction in BaIn0.5Sn0.5O2.75
Solid State Ionics, 1998Abstract The synthesis and characterization by XRD and TEM of the compound BaIn 0.5 Sn 0.5 O 2.75 (BISO) is described. The water uptake was measured quantitatively as a function of temperature and water vapor pressure. For the standard enthalpy and entropy of solution the following values were obtained Δ H o =(−0.76±0.08) eV, Δ S o =(−1.22±0.13 ...

Proton Conduction in KH2PO4 Modified by Proton Irradiation
Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 2008The proton conductivity of KH2PO4 (KDP) was modi ed by means of proton irradiation. Our neutron di raction and high-resolution 1H nuclear magnetic resonance measurements indicate that modi cation in the O O bond length in the KDP system induced by the proton-beam treatment is responsible for the change in the proton conduction, which is accompanied by ...
