Bandgap‐engineered AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures exhibit wavelength‐selective dual‐polarity photoelectrochemistry, switching from photocathodic to photoanodic response depending on excitation wavelength. The polarity transition is governed by band‐selective absorption, built‐in electric‐field‐driven carrier transport, and interfacial charge‐transfer ...

Local structure of gallate proton conductors [PDF]
Lanthanum barium gallate proton conductors are based on disconnected GaO4 groups. The insertion of hydroxyls in the LaBaGaO4 network proceeds through self-doping with Ba2+, consequent O2- vacancy formation to fulfill charge neutrality.

Mucoadhesive amphiphilic block and statistical copolymers were synthesized via Reversible Addition–Fragmentation Chain Transfer polymerization from bio‐sourced myrcene and polyethylene glycol methacrylate. The resulting polymers exhibit narrow molar‐mass distributions, high regioselectivity, well‐defined microstructures, and tend to self‐assemble into ...

Engineering MnNiPx cathodes through the dual role of Mn simultaneously improves hydrogen evolution reaction activity and intermittent‐operation durability. Mn preferentially oxidizes to protect Ni–P sites from irreversible oxidation, while metallic Mn incorporation enhances the HER kinetics of Ni–P active layer.

Proton conductivity of glycosaminoglycans.
Proton conductivity is important in many natural phenomena including oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria and archaea, uncoupling membrane potentials by the antibiotic Gramicidin, and proton actuated bioluminescence in dinoflagellate.
