Proton Transfer in Proton Exchange Membrane Based on RDF

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
PEM fuel cell is the most promising application as an automotive power. Proton transfer in PEM is one of important factors to understand the performance of PEM fuel cell. In this paper, the proton transfer mechanisms are analyzed by the molecular simulation based on the basic principle of molecular dynamics.

Advances in ionogels for proton-exchange membranes

Science of The Total Environment
To ensure the long-term performance of proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), proton-exchange membranes (PEMs) have stringent requirements at high temperatures and humidities, as they may lose proton carriers. This issue poses a serious challenge to maintaining their proton conductivity and mechanical performance throughout their service life ...

Proton Exchange Membrane Electrochemical Capacitors

Proceedings of the 25th Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference, 2005
Disclosed is a high-energy-density all-solid ionomer electrochemical capacitor, completely free of liquid electrolyte. The capacitor includes 1) a three-dimensional metal oxide-particulate-ionomer composite electrode structure, whereby the ionomer coats the individual particles and provides a mechanism for continuous proton transport throughout the ...

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells

Vacuum, 2006
The desire to have compact, high power sources with low environmental impact has focused attention on proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). The paper gives a brief overview of processes and technical challenges related to PEMFCs. The main goal is also to give a short overview of the underlying science and to show a feasible approach to ...

Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis

2020
Proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) technology is a high efficiency and clean route to extract H2 from pure water. As the converse process to the-state-of-the-art H2 fuel cell, PEMWE possess several merits including high energy conversion, zero emission, and the production of high purity H2.
