Broadband, Flexible, Skin‐Compatible Carbon Dots/Graphene Photodetectors for Wearable Applications
Broadband, flexible photodetectors integrating nitrogen‐rich carbon dots with single‐layer graphene on plastic substrates are demonstrated. A biocompatible chitosan–glycerol electrolyte enables efficient low‐voltage gating and on‐skin operation. The devices exhibit ultraviolet‐to‐near‐infrared response, mechanical robustness under bending, and verified

Application of Proton Transfer Reaction Mass Spectrometry to Analytical Science [PDF]
This work concerns a proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer, PTR-TOF-MS, a bespoke model manufactured by Kore Technology Ltd. for Smiths Detection. This instrument achieves 'soft' ionization of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by proton transfer from protonated water vapour in a reaction chamber at 1 mbar (= 100 Pa).

Chiral Nanohoops as an Efficient Spin Polarization System
Chiral conjugated nanohoops with a central dibenzopentalene unit exhibit 90% spin polarization at low voltage and high conductivity. These properties make them ideal components in molecular spintronics applications. Abstract A central challenge in molecular spintronics is to achieve a high spin polarization at low operating voltages and ambient ...

Ni1‐Bi1 dual‐atom dopants are achieved for activating Ru lattices without blocking noble atoms. This model exhibits an ultralow overpotential of 11.4 mV and superb stability at 10 mA cm−2 toward hydrogen evolution reaction, enabling a proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer that needs only 2.233 V to reach 3.0 A cm−2 and operates stably at 1.0 A cm−

A novel approach for the design of functional semiconductors is presented, which utilizes the excellent optoelectronic properties of layered hybrid perovskites and the possibility to introduce a molecular photoswitch as the organic spacer. This concept is successfully demonstrated on a coumarin‐based system with the possibility to change the bandgap ...
