Infrared emission from protostars
The emergent spectral energy distribution at infrared to radio wavelengths is calculated for the simplest theoretical construct of a low-mass protostar. It is shown that the emergent spectrum in the infrared is insensitive to the details assumed for the temperature profile as long as allowance is made for a transition from optically thick to optically ...

Protostellar outflows and jets are almost ubiquitous characteristics during the mass accretion phase and encode the history of stellar accretion, complex organic molecule (COM) formation, and planet formation.

IPA: Class 0 Protostars Viewed in CO Emission Using JWST
We investigate the bright CO fundamental emission in the central regions of five protostars in their primary mass assembly phase using new observations from JWST’s Near-Infrared Spectrograph and Mid-Infrared Instrument. CO line emission images and fluxes

CORINOS. II. JWST-MIRI Detection of Warm Molecular Gas from an Embedded, Disk-bearing Protostar
We present James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Mid-InfraRed Instrument (MIRI) observations of warm CO and H _2 O gas in emission toward the low-mass protostar IRAS 15398-3359, observed as part of the CORINOS program.

Episodic accretion, radiative feedback, and their role in low-mass star formation
It is speculated that the accretion of material onto young protostars is episodic. We present a computational method to include the effects of episodic accretion in radiation hydrodynamic simulations of star formation.

In an effort to shed more light on the formation process of binary stars, we have started a program to study multiplicity among nearby low- and intermediate-mass protostars using the OVRO Millimeter Array. Here, we describe the project and present the first results on the protostellar core in the Bok globule CB230 (L1177).
