Prevalence of Intestinal Parasitic Infections and Associated Factors Among Rural Ghanaian School Children: A Cross‐Sectional Study in Tokuroano, Krachi East Municipality

Over 63% of schoolchildren in rural Ghana's Tokuroano area had intestinal parasitic infections, mainly Ascaris, Hookworm, and Giardia. Poor sanitation, unsafe water, and poor hygiene were key risks. Declining Trends in Gastrointestinal Parasitic Infections Among Nepalese School Children: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis (2004–2022)

This meta‐analysis of 25 studies (17,628 children) shows a substantial decline in gastrointestinal parasitic infections in Nepal from 43.4% to 24.2% between 2004 and 2022. Abstract This case report presents a recent case of scuticociliatosis in a whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), housed at a zoo (Haus des Meeres Aqua Terra Zoo, Vienna, Austria). Clinical signs such as uncoordinated swimming and body tilt were observed prior to death.

Detection of Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Babesia aktasi in a wild bezoar goat (Capra aegagrus): Overlap with domestic goat strains

Exploring the Causal Links Between Toxoplasma gondii Infection and Risk of Brain Tumors: A Bidirectional Mendelian Randomization Analysis

Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis demonstrated that genetic liability to malignant brain tumors was significantly associated with increased odds of Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) seropositivity, suggesting that individuals genetically predisposed to brain tumors may have a higher susceptibility to T. gondii infection.
