Solid‐state fermentation pro‐enzymes supplementation benefits growth performance, health, and intestinal microbiota of broiler chickens fed wheat‐based diet

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 432-444, November 2025.
Wheat as a kind of diet material can be used for broiler production. However, due to non‐starch polysaccharides (NSP) in wheat, wheat may lead to lower growth performance and worth health. This experiment used solid‐state fermentation pro‐enzymes (SFP enzymes) to reverse the negative effect of wheat.

Defective proventriculus specifies the ocellar region in the Drosophila head

open access: yesDevelopmental Biology, 2011
A pair of the Drosophila eye-antennal disc gives rise to four distinct organs (eyes, antennae, maxillary palps, and ocelli) and surrounding head cuticle. Developmental processes of this imaginal disc provide an excellent model system to study the mechanism of regional specification and subsequent organogenesis. The dorsal head capsule (vertex) of adult

Biochar in Animal Agriculture: Enhancing Health, Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 6, November 2025.
Biochar enhances animal agriculture by improving gut health (8%–26% higher feed efficiency), reducing methane emissions (up to 22%) and ammonia volatilization (40%–77%) and sequestering carbon. Challenges include variability in quality and economic feasibility, but its integration offers a sustainable path for productivity and environmental stewardship.
