For a long time burial practices of Late Antiquity, at least in the scientific literature dealing with the territory of the province of Dalmatia, have been regarded as monotonous and quite simple. Partially it's the reflection of actual conditions, but partially it's the result of insufficient archaeological research and/or publications.
