We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Magnetic Proximity Effect in Perovskite Superconductor/Ferromagnet Multilayers
$\mathrm{YBa_2Cu_3O_7/La_{2/3}Ca_{1/3}MnO_3}$ superconducting/ferromagnetic (SC/FM) multilayers have been studied by neutron reflectometry. Evidence for a characteristic difference between the structural and magnetic depth profiles is obtained from the ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Superconducting proximity effect in epitaxial Al-InAs heterostructures
Semiconductor-based Josephson junctions provide a platform for studying proximity effect due to the possibility of tuning junction properties by gate voltage and large-scale fabrication of complex Josephson circuits.

Spin-flip enhanced thermoelectricity in superconductor-ferromagnet bilayers
We study the effects of spin-splitting and spin-flip scattering in a superconductor (S) on the thermoelectric (TE) properties of a tunneling contact to a metallic ferromagnet (F) using the Green’s function method.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Research on proximity effect of electromagnetic railgun
The rails of electromagnetic railgun can be ablated by the temperature rise due to current concentration. The current distributions on the rails and armature are not only affected by the skin effect, but also influenced by the proximity effect which is ...
