Entropy‐Engineered Multi‐Metallic MOFs Unlock High‐Performance Ammonium‐Ion Storage

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Entropy‐engineered amino‐functionalized EnMOF‐NH2 cathode with five metal nodes (Co, Ni, Fe, Mn, Mo) enables NH4+ hydrogen‐bonding storage and multi‐metal redox activity, while suppressing metal dissolution. ABSTRACT Aqueous ammonium ion batteries (AAIBs) are an emerging sustainable energy technology owing to their high ionic conductivity, safety, low ...

Boosting Performance of PANI@N‐WHL‐AC by a Modified Water‐in‐Salt‐Electrolyte Strategy for Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
MSA‐regulated water‐in‐salt electrolyte enables dual‐ion (Zn2+/H+) storage and stabilizes Zn plating/stripping in PANI@N‐doped biomass‐derived carbon cathodes. The synergistic electrolyte–electrode engineering delivers high energy density and long‐term cycling stability for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries.

DNA Coordination Engineering of Dual‐Metal Prussian Blue Analogs for Accelerated Zn2+ Storage

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A sustainable DNA‐assisted strategy was developed to regulate the growth of CuMn‐HCF, producing a porous hierarchical structure with abundant active sites. The optimized CuMn‐HCF‐D7 electrode exhibited enhanced Zn2+ storage kinetics, high reversible capacity, and exceptional cycling stability over 30 000 cycles, demonstrating its potential as a durable

Delocalized Redox Framework of Indanthrone Enables Low‐Strain and Durable Mn2+/H+ Storage in Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A high‐performance Mn2+/H+ hybrid aqueous battery is realized using an indanthrone cathode, exhibiting 85.5% capacity retention over 3000 cycles. The system features a low‐strain Mn2+/H+ storage mechanism where b‐axis expansion is balanced by contractions in the a and c‐axes.
