International Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1989 TX Psc is one of the very few carbon stars for which spectroscopic data from the blue toward the near infrared can be found in the literature. We present calculations of the first synthetic spectra that are in agreement with all the major spectral features in the observed spectrum, including the H∼ peak and the 3 μm band.

Unusual PSCs observed by LIDAR in Antarctica [PDF]
Geophysical Research Letters, 1995 Polar Stratospheric Cloud (PSC) measurements by ground‐based LIDAR were carried out at Dumont d'Urville, Antarctica, during the years 1989 to 1993. From such measurements it can be seen that there are cases of PSCs that are not consistent with the simplest nitric acid trihydrate (NAT) theories.
