Extension of the European Union Services Directive Implementation in Romania

open access: yesTransylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences, 2012
Romania is currently facing a lot of challenges in the public administration (PA) field. In this paper, we are going to show how the European Union Services Directive implementation impacted the Romanian PA reform process by achieving one major objective:

Positive scalar curvature, diffeomorphisms and the Seiberg-Witten invariants

open access: yes, 2001
We study the space of positive scalar curvature (psc) metrics on a 4-manifold, and give examples of simply connected manifolds for which it is disconnected. These examples imply that concordance of psc metrics does not imply isotopy of such metrics. This

Wireless Power Transfer Modalities for Implantable Bioelectronics: Electromagnetic, Acoustic, and Magneto‐Dynamic Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review traces the evolution of wireless power transfer (WPT) for implantable medical devices, spanning electromagnetic, magnetoelectric, acoustic, and magneto‐dynamic systems. Quantitative comparisons of power, distance, and device scale highlight trade‐offs across modalities, while emerging hybrid mechanisms reveal strategies to overcome ...

Whole blood RNA sequencing identifies transcriptional differences between primary sclerosing cholangitis and ulcerative colitis

open access: yesJHEP Reports
Background & Aims: Genetic and microbiome studies across patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and ulcerative colitis (UC) have indicated that UC in PSC is a separate disease entity to primary UC, but expression studies for PSC are ...

Effect of different zinc concentrations on partially-stabilized cement for vital pulp therapy

open access: yesJournal of the Formosan Medical Association, 2019
Background/Purpose: We have developed and investigated the partially-stabilized cements (PSC) with Zn for vital pulp therapy due to their short setting time and high cell biocompatibility. However, the effect of PSC with different concentrations of Zn on

The complex environment of the bright carbon star TX Psc as probed by spectro-astrometry

open access: yes, 2015
Context: Stars on the asymptotic giant branch (AGB) show broad evidence of inhomogeneous atmospheres and circumstellar envelopes. These have been studied by a variety of methods on various angular scales. In this paper we explore the envelope of the well-

Enhancement of the Ultraviolet Stability of Perovskite Solar by the Interface Modified with Cesium Chloride

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
CsCl interface modification promotes perovskite growth and suppresses recombination, boosting n–i–p perovskite solar cells (PSC) efficiency from 21.21% to 23.73% and enhancing UV stability fourfold, offering a simple route to efficient, stable PSCs. Stability is an important factor affecting the application of perovskite solar cells (PSCs).
