Switching dynamics of reconfigurable perfect soliton crystals in dual-coupled microresonators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Dual-coupled structure is typically used to actively change the local dispersion of microresonator through controllable avoided mode crossings (AMXs). In this paper, we investigate the reconfigurability of perfect soliton crystals (PSCs) based on dual-coupled microresonators.

Efficacy of hepatic transplantation in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Controlled trials to assess the therapeutic benefit of orthotopic hepatic transplantation (OHTx) for primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) cannot be justified in view of improvement of patient survival after this operation since 1981.

Mountain wave PSC dynamics and microphysics from ground-based lidar measurements and meteorological modeling

open access: yes, 2003
The day-long observation of a polar stratospheric cloud (PSC) by two co-located ground-based lidars at the Swedish research facility Esrange (67.9 N, 21.1 E) on 16 January 1997 is analyzed in terms of PSC dynamics and microphysics.

Advancing Self‐Assembled Molecules Toward Interface‐Optimized Perovskite Solar Cells: from One to Two

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In the past few years, self‐assembled molecules (SAMs) have ushered in a new era of interface engineering for perovskite solar cells. Herein, the recent progresses of co‐SAM, namely two SAMs with synergy, are comprehensively summarized and analyzed, focusing on topics including deposition methods and design principles, while further challenges about ...

Design-Oriented Transient Stability Analysis of Grid-Connected Converters with Power Synchronization Control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The power synchronization control (PSC) has been increasingly used with voltage-source converters (VSCs) connected to the weak ac grid. This paper presents an in-depth analysis on the transient stability of the PSC-VSC by means of the phase portrait.

Extension of the European Union Services Directive Implementation in Romania

open access: yesTransylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences, 2012
Romania is currently facing a lot of challenges in the public administration (PA) field. In this paper, we are going to show how the European Union Services Directive implementation impacted the Romanian PA reform process by achieving one major objective:

‘Not another safety culture survey’: using the Canadian patient safety climate survey (Can-PSCS) to measure provider perceptions of PSC across health settings

open access: yesBMJ Quality & Safety, 2013
Background The importance of a strong safety culture for enhancing patient safety has been stated for over a decade in healthcare. However, this complex construct continues to face definitional and measurement challenges.

Electron Extraction Optimization for Carbon‐Based Hole‐Conductor‐Free Perovskite Photovoltaics With Record 1.41 V VOC

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient electron energy level strategy is constructed to reduce voltage losses in planar HTL‐free CsPbI2Br C‐PSCs. This electron extraction optimization enables rapid photogenerated electron extraction and carrier separation, thereby suppressing recombination at the back contact. The resulting PSCs deliver a record VOC of 1.41 V, a high PCE of 17.42%

Only repeatedly elevated IgG4 levels in primary sclerosing cholangitis may distinguish a particular patient phenotype

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology
Background Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic liver disease leading to inflammation with scaring and strictures of bile ducts, which can lead to liver cirrhosis.
