Singly generated quasivarieties and residuated structures [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
A quasivariety K of algebras has the joint embedding property (JEP) iff it is generated by a single algebra A. It is structurally complete iff the free countably generated algebra in K can serve as A.

PEROVSKITES AND OTHER FRAMEWORK STRUCTURE CRYSTALLINE MATERIALS (BOOK' FIRST PAGES AND PREFACE)

open access: yesMaterials and Devices, 2021
Perovskites are among the most famous materials due to their exceptional properties: they present nearly all existing types of interesting properties, in particular as ferroics or multiferroics, they may be insulators, (super)conductors, or ...

The first light curve solutions and period changes of EW Psc and HN Psc [PDF]

open access: yesNew Astronomy, 2020
The first light curve solutions of the stars EW and HN in Pisces constellation are presented. Photometry, and its' periodic changes are calculated and discussed. The analysis of O-C diagram done by MCMC approach in OCFit code and the new ephemeris provided for two binary systems. The light curve solutions obtained.

PSC: protein surface classification [PDF]

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 2012
We recently proposed to classify proteins by their functional surfaces. Using the structural attributes of functional surfaces, we inferred the pairwise relationships of proteins and constructed an expandable database of protein surface classification (PSC).

Homotopy invariance of the space of metrics with positive scalar curvature on manifolds with singularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper we study manifolds, $X_{\Sigma}$, with fibred singularities, more specifically, a relevant space ${\mathcal R}^{\rm psc}(X_{\Sigma})$ of Riemannian metrics with positive scalar curvature.

Spatial transcriptomics identifies enriched gene expression and cell types in human liver fibrosis

open access: yesHepatology Communications, 2022
Liver fibrosis and cirrhosis have limited therapeutic options and represent a serious unmet patient need. Recent use of single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) has identified enriched cell types infiltrating cirrhotic livers but without defining the ...

Monocytes as Potential Mediators of Pathogen‐Induced T‐Helper 17 Differentiation in Patients With Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)

open access: yesHepatology, 2020
T cells from patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) show a prominent interleukin (IL)‐17 response upon stimulation with bacteria or fungi, yet the reasons for this dominant T‐helper 17 (Th17) response in PSC are not clear.

RTL-PSC: Automated Power Side-Channel Leakage Assessment at Register-Transfer Level [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE VLSI Test Symposium, 2019
Power side-channel attacks (SCAs) have become a major concern to the security community due to their noninvasive feature, low-cost, and effectiveness in extracting secret information from hardware implementation of cryto algorithms.

Accountable Private Set Cardinality for Distributed Measurement [PDF]

open access: yesACM Transactions on Privacy and Security, Vol. 25, No. 4, Article 25. Publication date: May 2022, 2022
We introduce cryptographic protocols for securely and efficiently computing the cardinality of set union and set intersection. Our private set-cardinality protocols (PSC) are designed for the setting in which a large set of parties in a distributed system makes observations, and a small set of parties with more resources and higher reliability ...
