Not just a climate problem: the safety and health risks of methane super-emitter events
Methane super-emitter events (>100 kg methane hr ^−1 ) are prevalent across the oil and gas supply chain and are being targeted for methane mitigation policies due to their climate impacts; however, few studies have evaluated the air quality impacts and ...

A new organic molecular cathode interlayer is presented built upon the perylene butyl tetraester scaffold. The new molecule incorporates N‐annulation and a functional amine group to control optical, electrochemical and physical properties and delivers excellent solar cell performance. Abstract We report a new amino‐bay‐substituted, N‐annulated perylene

On the Origins of Out‐of‐Plane Auxetic Response in Paper
Paper can be auxetic! Paper can exhibit a range of out‐of‐plane Poisson's ratio (PR) values. Examining handsheets made from hardwood (HW) and softwood (SW) fibers, of a variety of weights (1, 3, or 5 g) and refining degrees (none, R, or R+), showed that the sign and magnitude of PR can be finely controlled by modifying network parameters.

microRNA blood signature for localized radiation injury
A radiological accident, whether from industrial, medical, or malicious origin, may result in localized exposure to high doses of ionizing radiations, leading to the development of local radiation injury (LRI), that may evolve toward deep ulceration and ...

Validation of three-dimensional incompressible spatial direct numerical simulation code: A comparison with linear stability and parabolic stability equation theories for boundary-layer transition on a flat plate [PDF]
Spatially evolving instabilities in a boundary layer on a flat plate are computed by direct numerical simulation (DNS) of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. In a truncated physical domain, a nonstaggered mesh is used for the grid.

ABOUT THE QUALITY OF MEAT WITH PSE AND DFD PROPERTIES
: The use of modern technologies in meat production often leads to the formation of raw meat with uncharacteristic course of autolysis, one raw meat being characterized by a low pH value (less than 5.2), it is pale, flabby and watery (Pale, Soft ...
