Two new species of the genus Mataeopsephus Waterhouse, 1876 (Coleoptera: Psephenidae) from Guizhou, China

Two new species of the genus Mataeopsephus Waterhous are described: M. fanjingshanus sp. nov. and M. zhaomingzhii sp. nov. both from Guizhou Province, China. A revised key to the species of all known Mataeopsephus species is provided.

Larval and pupal stages of Psephenivorus mexicanus Burks are described and figured, and observations upon adult behavior are presented. The wasp utilizes prepupal and pupal hosts, as many as 39 wasps developing within a single host. The entire life cycle may be completed within 21 days.

A new genus and new species of chalcidoid Eulophidae, tribe Entedontini, is described as Psephenivorus mexicanus. This is a parasite of the prepupae of waterpennies, Psephenus texanus Brown & Arrington, found in a small stream in northern Mexico. No other members of the Entedontini are at present known to attack hosts living in an aquatic environment.
