Nghiên cứu hiện trạng khai thác nguồn lợi cá kèo giống được thực hiện ở vùng ven bờ tỉnh Cà Mau từ tháng 10 năm 2021 đến tháng 4 năm 2022. Số liệu được phỏng vấn trực tiếp 43 hộ khai thác cá kèo giống. Ngư cụ khai thác cá kèo giống là lưới mùng có chiều dài là 7,2±2,2 m và chiều rộng là 4,8±1,5 m.
