Pseudarthrosis of the Rabbit Tibia
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1991The purpose of this study was to create a rabbit model of a pseudarthrosis of the tibia by passively constricting circumferential diaphyseal growth. A circumferential strip of Marlex mesh was placed around both tibiae of eight growing rabbits. It was sutured as a circumferential tube on the experimental tibia and not sutured together on the control ...

Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia
JBJS Reviews, 2017➢ Patients with congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia do not have a normal tibia. In such patients, the entire tibia is abnormal (even outside of the established pseudarthrosis site); the bone does not have a normal healing response to injury or osteotomy, and the proximal growth plate typically has an abnormal inclination.

Congenital pseudarthrosis of the radius
American Journal of Roentgenology, 1978Five children with six congenital pseudarthroses of the long bones of the forearm are described. Four cases were the result of neurofibromatosis, one was related to fibrous dysplasia, and one appears to be idiopathic. Whereas congenital pseudarthrosis of the leg primarily involves the tibia, congenital pseudarthrosis of the forearm primarily involves ...

Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Clavicle
Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1972Congenital pseudarthrosis of the clavicle is an unusual and poorly documented entity. When the literature in English was reviewed, 18 documented cases were found. In a 19th case which we report, etiology and pathogenesis remain unresolved. Mechanical factors are strongly suggested by the virtually exclusive occurrence of the lesion on the right side ...

Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Fibula
Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, 1987Three cases of congenital pseudarthrosis of the fibula are reported, all with prepseudarthrotic involvement of the omolateral tibia. In patients with this condition, correction of valgus deformity should be deferred until puberty, and the occurrence of tibial fractures should be prevented by means of leg splints.

Treatment of pseudarthrosis of the clavicle
Injury, 1982Twelve patients were operated on between 1974 and 1979 for painful pseudarthrosis of the clavicle. The time from the injury to the operation ranged from 4 months to 12 years. We used an AO plate fixation and cancellous bone graft. The patients were able to return to work within 2 months on average.

Glycosaminoglycans in congenital pseudarthrosis
Calcified Tissue Research, 1977Light and electron microscopic studies on cells and matrices of congenital pseudarthrosis of the femur of a 5.5-year-old male revealed three areas with different morphological features; a fibrous area, a cartilaginous area and an osseous area. Glycosaminoglycans were isolated from each of the three areas and characterized by the degradation with ...

Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Clavicle [PDF]
Congenital pseudarthrosis of the clavicle is a rare entity. Its aetiology and pathogenesis still remain obscure. The condition is predominantly right-sided. Differential diagnosis lies between birth fracture and cleido-cranial dysostosis. Surgery when indicted gives good results.
