Viscoelasticity‐Induced Controllable Periodic Meso‐Textures of Liquid Crystal Polymers in Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Novel Theorems on Spacetime Admitting Pseudo-W2 Curvature Tensor

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
This paper investigates spacetime manifolds admitting a pseudo-W2 curvature tensor. We show that a pseudo-W2 flat spacetime is an Einstein manifold and therefore has constant curvature.

Existence Results for Some Damped Second-Order Volterra Integro-Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we make a subtle use of operator theory techniques and the well-known Schauder fixed-point principle to establish the existence of pseudo-almost automorphic solutions to some second-order damped integro-differential equations with pseudo ...

Difference equations and pseudo-differential operators on $\mathbb{Z}^n$

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we develop the calculus of pseudo-differential operators on the lattice $\mathbb{Z}^n$, which we can call pseudo-difference operators. An interesting feature of this calculus is that the phase space is compact so the symbol classes are defined in terms of the behaviour with respect to the lattice variable.

Spatially Tailorable Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Alignment During Digital Light Process 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we report the fabrication of 3D printable liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) structures with spatially tailorable alignment domains within the same layer. This work addresses the long‐standing challenge of preparing complex 3D LCE architectures with patterned functional domains to achieve nonlinear deformations. Fabrication of multi‐domains in 3D

Piecewise weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions of impulsive integro-differential equations via fractional operators

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
In this article, we show sufficient conditions for the existence, uniqueness and attractivity of piecewise weighted pseudo almost periodic classical solution of nonlinear impulsive integro-differential equations.

Stacking‐Engineered Magnonic Topology and Transport in Honeycomb Homobilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Topological magnons have emerged as a promising platform for dissipationless bosonic transport. However, a straightforward and effective strategy to engineer such topological states in real materials has yet to be fully realized. Here, a general scheme for controlling magnonic topological states via stacking engineering in van der Waals ...

How to Chemically Protect PFAS‐Free Membranes in Fuel Cells: Radical Quenching Poly(vinylphosphonic acid) Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrocarbon membranes are a greener alternative to PFSA in PEM fuel cells, but degrade rapidly from radical attack. We present a novel strategy using poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PVPA) as a local radical scavenger. Incorporated as an interfacial barrier, PVPA enhances chemical stability and significantly extends membrane lifetime under accelerated ...
