Increasing Attraction of Pseudo-Inverse Autoassociative Networks
Neural Processing Letters, 1997We show how partial reduction of self-connections of the network designed with the pseudo-inverse learning rule increases the direct attraction radius of the network. Theoretical formula is obtained. Data obtained by simulation are presented.

Existence of Pseudo-Inverses for Diffusions
2010In this chapter, we continue the study of pseudo-inverses, extending the previous results of Chapter 7 to the general framework of linear diffusions. We shall focus here on increasing pseudo-inverses, and we shall deal with two cases: first, a diffusion taking values in ℝ, and solution of a particular SDE, and then, a general diffusion on ℝ+

Applications of SVD and Pseudo-inverses
2011This chapter presents several applications of SVD. The first one is the pseudoinverse, which plays a crucial role in solving linear systems by the method of least squares. The second application is data compression. The third application is principal component analysis (PCA), whose purpose is to identify patterns in data and understand the variance ...

Incremental Computation of Pseudo-Inverse of Laplacian
2014A divide-and-conquer based approach for computing the Moore-Penrose pseudo-inverse of the combinatorial Laplacian matrix \((\mathbf L^+)\) of a simple, undirected graph is proposed. The nature of the underlying sub-problems is studied in detail by means of an elegant interplay between \(\mathbf L^+\) and the effective resistance distance \((\varOmega )\
