THE THERMAL EFFECT IN PSEUDOELASTIC ALLOYS
Temperature pulses of up to 15°C have been observed in single crystals of pseudoelastic alloys and are associated with the formation of stress-induced martensite. Detailed shapes of the temperature pulses are presented for three types of transformation : β1-β'1 CuAlNi, β'2-β'2 CuZnSn and β1-γ'1 CuAlNi.
