The paper considers the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem for nonlinear elliptic equations of the second order in unbounded domains. Restrictions on the structure of quasilinear equations are formulated in terms of a special class of convex

A range and existence theorem for pseudomonotone perturbations of maximal monotone operators [PDF]
Summary: We prove a range and existence theorem for multivalued pseudomonotone perturbations of maximal monotone operators. We assume a general coercivity condition on the sum of a maximal monotone and a pseudomonotone operator instead of a condition on the pseudomonotone operator only.

Existence Theorems on Solvability of Constrained Inclusion Problems and Applications
Let X be a real locally uniformly convex reflexive Banach space with locally uniformly convex dual space X⁎. Let T:X⊇D(T)→2X⁎ be a maximal monotone operator and C:X⊇D(C)→X⁎ be bounded and continuous with D(T)⊆D(C).

Existence of extremal periodic solutions for quasilinear parabolic equations
In this paper we consider a quasilinear parabolic equation in a bounded domain under periodic Dirichlet boundary conditions. Our main goal is to prove the existence of extremal solutions among all solutions lying in a sector formed by appropriately ...

A class of nonlinear variational inequalities involvingpseudomonotone operators [PDF]
We present the solvability of a class of nonlinear variational inequalities involving pseudomonotone operators in a locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces setting. The obtained result generalizes similar variational inequality problems on monotone operators.

Positive solutions for a degenerate p-Kirchhoff problem with singular and sublinear nonlinearities
In this paper, we study the following $p$-Kirchhoff-type elliptic problem: \begin{equation*} \begin{cases}%{ll} -M\left(\displaystyle\int_{\Omega}\vert \nabla u\vert^{p}\right)\displaystyle\mathrm{div}\left(\vert\nabla u\vert^{p-2}\nabla u\right ...

Dynamic contact with Signorini's condition and slip rate dependent friction
Existence of a weak solution for the problem of dynamic frictional contact between a viscoelastic body and a rigid foundation is established. Contact is modelled with the Signorini condition.

Double phase elliptic inclusions with convection and logarithmic perturbed terms
This paper deals with a new double phase elliptic inclusion (DPEI) formulated by a double phase partial differential operator with logarithmic perturbation, a general multivalued convection term defined in the domain and a general multivalued term ...

On Quasi-Monotone Stochastic Variational Inequalities with Applications
This paper studies an efficient method for solving stochastic optimization problems formulated as stochastic variational inequalities with a quasi-monotone operator, where the cost function extends the classical monotone and pseudomonotone operators. Our
