Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) is a rare neoplastic condition characterised by gelatinous ascites, which generally arise from mucin-producing appendiceal tumours. Presentation is variable but requires prompt recognition to ensure appropriate specialist management due to risk of malignancy.
