Quantum Chemistry Investigation of Linear and Nonlinear (chir)optical Properties of Oligoamide Foldamers

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2026.
The linear and nonlinear (chir)optical properties of four oligoamide foldamers with different donor groups are studied by means of time‐dependent density functional theory calculations. It is shown that stronger donors yield larger hyperpolarizabilities due to low‐lying charge–transfer states. The agreement with the experiments concerning the key bands

Veneziano's Model for Pseudoscalar-Pseudoscalar Scattering, Factorization and the Nonet Ansatz [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1969
Crossing·symmetric, Regge behaved amplitudes of the Veneziano type are constructed for Ps-Ps scattering, where Ps denotes the pseudoscalar meson octet. Factorization of the parent and the first (odd) daughter Regge trajectories is investigated in detail.

On the Effective Hamiltonian for Pseudoscalar Meson with Pseudoscalar Coupling with Nucleon [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1954
The method of canonical transformation is applied to the pseudo-scalar meson theory with pseudoscalar coupling. It will be shown that tbe Tanj1)-Foldy~) transformation results as the best one when regarded as a variational function among the similar family of transformation.

Vector–vector–pseudoscalar couplings, radiative decays, and possible existence of ψ-like pseudoscalar mesons

open access: yes, 1976
Possible interactions of the ψ particles are analyzed with emphasis on vector–vector–pseudoscalar couplings. Radiative decays are studied in some detail in the context of the vector dominance model.

WW scattering parameters via pseudoscalar phase shifts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Using domain-wall lattice simulations, we study pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar scattering in the maximal isospin channel for an SU(3) gauge theory with two and six fermion flavors in the fundamental representation.

Engineering Asymmetry: How Chirality Boosts Catalysis, Spin Selectivity, and Light–Matter Interactions

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, Volume 10, Issue 4, April 2026.
This review connects chiroptical spectroscopy, asymmetric catalysis, and spintronics, revealing how chirality influences the interactions of matter with light, charge, and spin. Across diverse systems, remarkable chiroptical effects emerge, showing among others that high efficiencies can arise without absolute enantiopurity, and that functionality is ...

Nonminimally coupled pseudoscalar inflaton [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
We consider a scenario in which the inflaton $ϕ$ is a pseudoscalar field non-minimally coupled to gravity through a term of the form ${\cal X} R ϕ^2$. The pseudoscalar is also coupled to a $U(1)$ gauge field (or an ensemble of ${\cal N}$ gauge fields) through an axial coupling of the form $ϕF \tilde{F}$. After M. M. Anber and L. Sorbo, Phys. Rev. Search for a new pseudoscalar decaying into a pair of bottom and antibottom quarks in top-associated production in $$\sqrt{s}=13$$ s = 13  TeV proton–proton collisions with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
A search for a pseudoscalar a produced in association with a top-quark pair, or in association with a single top quark plus a W boson, with the pseudoscalar decaying into b-quarks ( $$a\rightarrow b\bar{b}$$ a → b b ¯ ), is performed using the full Run 2

Type-III two Higgs doublet model plus a pseudoscalar confronted with h→μτ, muon g−2 and dark matter

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2016
In this work, we introduce an extra singlet pseudoscalar into the Type-III two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) which is supposed to solve a series of problems in the modern particle-cosmology.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.
