Mitogenic and tumor necrosis factor producing activities of Pseudostellaria heterophylla

International Journal of Immunopharmacology, 1992
Separation of mitogenic fraction (PH-I) from Pseudostellaria heterophylla and characterization of its biological activities were investigated. PH-I was isolated as an alcohol-insoluble fraction from the hot water extract obtained by heating the roots of P. heterophylla in water at 80 degrees C for 4 h.

The immunostimulating activities of anti-tumor Polysaccharides from Pseudostellaria heterophylla

Immunopharmacology, 1994
We have previously shown that a mitogenic fraction (PH-I) separated from Pseudostellaria heterophylla exhibits both immunomodulatory and anti-tumor activities. In the present study, PH-I was further purified by gel filtration chromatography and the resulting three fractions (PH-I A, PH-I B and PH-I C) were assessed for their anti-tumor activity in vivo.

[A research on fast-propagation of Pseudostellaria heterophylla].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2003
The result of fast-propagation of Pseudostellaria heterophylla by tissue culture showed that the best explant was stem tip. It also showed the suitable inducement mediums were MS + 6-BA 2.0 mg/L + NAA 0.2 mg/L or MS + 6-BA 4.0 mg/L + NAA 0.4 mg/L for the clustered bud, MS + 2,4-D 4.0 mg/L + Kt 0.5 mg/L or MS + 2,4-D 3.0 mg/L + Kt 0.5 mg/L for the ...

[Rapid molecular identification of pseudostellariae radix].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2015
To establish a convenient and rapid method for identification of Pseudostellariae Radix by molecular identification, the rDNA-ITS sequences of Pseudostella riaheterophylla and its adulterants had been aligned to find out specific fragment. The specific primers against the fragment were designed and the PCR amplification conditions were optimized.

A new cyclic peptide from the fibrous root of Pseudostellaria heterophylla

Natural Product Research, 2020
A new cyclic peptide, Pseudostellarin K (1), together with thirteen known compounds, including two cyclic peptides (2 and 3), one β-carboline alkaloid (4), two amides (5 and 6), three phenylpropanoids (7-9) and other compounds (10-14), were isolated from the fibrous root of Pseudostellaria heterophylla.

Cloning and analyzing a squalene synthase gene in Pseudostellaria heterophylla

Gene Reports, 2018
Abstract Triterpene saponins are primary bioactive compounds in the tuberous roots of Pseudostellaria heterophylla, which is one of well-known traditional Chinese medicines. Squalene synthase (SQS) is the key speed-limiting enzyme of saponin biosynthesis pathway. Here, we cloned and analyzed a SQS gene in P. heterophylla.

Research on quality regionalization of cultivated Pseudostellaria heterophylla based on climate factors

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2016
Maxent model was applied in the study to filtering the climate factors layer by layer. Polysaccharides and pseudostellarin B the two internal quality evaluation index were combined to analyse the interlinkages between climate factors and chemical constituents in order to search for the critical climate factors of Pseudostellaria heterophylla.

[Chemical constituents from roots Pseudostellaria heterophylla].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2008
To study the chemical constituents of Pseudostellaria heterophylla. The compounds were isolated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and purified by recrystallization. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis.Seven compounds were identified as 2-minalin (1) , 3-furfuryl pyrrole-2-

Pollen morphology of Chinese Pseudostellaria (Caryophyllaceae) and its systematic significance

Microscopy Research and Technique, 2020
AbstractUsing light and scanning electron microscopy, we studied the pollen morphology of six species (one of which are endemic) of Chinese Pseudostellaria. All species were studied for the first time. Results of this study indicated that pollen grains of Pseudostellaria are spheroidal or spheroidal‐polyhedral in shape and small or medium in size and ...
