Curcumin Nanoformulations for Dermatological Applications: From Nutraceuticals to Nanocarriers

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Nanotechnology‐based delivery platforms enhance the cutaneous administration of curcumin. Loading free curcumin into polymeric micelles, metal‐based nanoparticles, nanogels/hydrogels, liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, or nanoemulsions/nanocrystals helps address its low solubility, poor stability and limited skin permeation. As a result, these systems

Environmental Contamination Affects Associated Bacterial Communities in a Neotropical Arboreal Ant

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 3, May 2026.
Environmental stressors such as contamination from mining tailings can alter microbial communities associated with insects, including social ants. Ants, as widespread and ecologically influential insects with stable microbial associations, offer a relevant model to examine these effects.

Increasing Public Managers' Perceived Autonomy by Decreasing the Level of Detail in Payment Models? The Dependency and Interdependency of Control Practices

open access: yesFinancial Accountability &Management, Volume 42, Issue 2, Page 219-236, May 2026.
ABSTRACT We investigate public managers' perceptions about the characteristics of global budgets and the association with perceived autonomy, using a qualitative, experiential approach. We compare and contrast differences in managers perceived autonomy associated with the use of global budgets in two large public healthcare organizations, while ...

Lymphocyte Antigen 6G Mediates Vagotomy‐Associated Reduction in Body Weight

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 7, 15 April 2026.
Vagotomy was associated with lower body weight and epididymal white adipose tissue (eWAT) mass, as well as increased Ly6G+ cell infiltration in eWAT. This vagotomy‐associated weight loss was significantly attenuated in neutrophil‐deficient mice, suggesting Ly6G+ cells participate in the regulation of eWAT energy homeostasis.

Optically Transparent Space‐Selective Stacked Metasurface: Optimal Design for Asymmetrically Bidirectional Polarization Decomposition

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
A momentous scheme to design the transparent metasurface using an accelerated elitist‐preserving genetic algorithm based on geometric coding method has been proposed in this paper. To verify the scheme, a transparently stacked metasurface has been designed, with which the characteristics of transparency, asymmetrically bidirectional polarization ...
