Edge-PSO: A recombination operator based PSO algorithm for solving TSP
2016 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2016We propose a novel approach for solving TSP using PSO, namely edge-PSO by intelligent use of the edge recombination Operator. We observed that the edge recombination operator which was originally proposed for Genetic Algorithm can be used as a velocity operator for Particle Swarm Optimization so as to direct the search effectively to better corners of ...

The particle swarm optimisation or PSO is a heuristic based on a population of individuals, in which the candidates for a solution of the problem at hand evolve through a simulation process of a social adaptation simplified model. Combining robustness, efficiency and simplicity, PSO has gained great popularity as many successful applications are ...

MOEA/D with DE and PSO: MOEA/D-DE+PSO
2011Hybridization is one of the important research area in evolutionary multiobjective optimization (EMO).It is a method that incorporate good merits of multiple techniques aim at to enhance the search ability of EMO algorithm. In this chapter, we combine two well-known search algorithms, DE and PSO, and developed algorithm known as MOEA/D-DE+PSO.

This paper presents an attempt to transform PSO into a self-adaptive algorithm based on specific swarm-inspired operators. New features are introduced: spatial expansion intended to overcome premature convergence (an algorithm called improved PSO, IPSO) and auto-adaptation (an algorithm called adaptive PSO, APSO).
