Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Apoptotic Micro‐Vesicles Repaired Sciatic Nerve Defect by Regulating Early Inflammatory Microenvironment and Promoting Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
HUCMSC‐Apo‐mvs enhance peripheral nerve repair by modulating the inflammatory microenvironment (IME), primarily through coordinated actions on three functional cells. They recruit macrophages and promote their polarization from pro‐inflammatory M1 to anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotypes, increasing secretion of IL‐10 and VEGF.

Sleep quality and the biological stress system during an internet-based intervention for major depressive disorder

open access: yesComprehensive Psychoneuroendocrinology
Introduction: Poor sleep quality is a persistent and debilitating symptom of major depressive disorder (MDD), with dysregulations in the biological stress system constituting a potential underlying physiological mechanism.

Peptomer Linkers Enable Kinetic Control over Co‐Delivery of Multiple Chemotherapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A key challenge in combinatorial chemotherapeutic drug delivery is independent control over release kinetics, especially with drugs of similar size and structure. Here, peptoid substitutions to proteolytically degradable peptides enabled the design of fast and slow‐releasing drug linkers.

Best practices for stress measurement: How to measure psychological stress in health research

open access: yesHealth Psychology Open, 2020
Despite the strong evidence linking psychological stress to disease risk, health researchers often fail to include psychological stress in models of health. One reason for this is the incorrect perception that the construct of psychological stress is too

Performance Decrement under Psychological Stress

open access: yesHuman Factors: The Journal of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, 1964
Army trainees unaware that they were serving in an experiment were, under controlled conditions, led to believe that either (1) an aircraft in which they were passengers was about to make an emergency crash landing, (2) their outpost was now an artillery impact area, or (3) they had caused serious injury to a buddy by a mistake in wiring up explosive ...

Low‐Temperature Fabrication of Thymosin β4‐Loaded Soluble Microneedles to Promote Wound Healing by Specific Binding to Downregulated Immune Regulators Vsig4 and IL22rɑ2

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic diagram depicting the fabrication and application of thymosin β4 (Tβ4)‐loaded microneedle patches for wound treatment. The Tβ4 was loaded into chitosan (CS) and sucrose MNs under mild conditions (4°C, 65% relative humidity). The Tβ4 MN patch specifically binds to the downregulated immune regulators Vsig4 and IL22rα2, thereby accelerating ...
