Age‐Stratified Performance of the TAPSE/sPAP Ratio as a Marker of Right Ventricular‐Pulmonary Arterial Coupling in Chronic Kidney Disease

The echocardiographic TAPSE/sPAP ratio independently predicts advanced CKD stage (adjusted OR 2.08 per 0.10‐unit decrease; bootstrap AUC 0.735). Performance is excellent in patients younger than 65 years (AUC 0.819, sensitivity 78.6%, and specificity 86.8%) but attenuated in older adults (AUC 0.579), supporting age‐stratified thresholds for cardiorenal
