Assay for Pathogen-Associated Molecular Pattern (PAMP)-Triggered Immunity (PTI) in Plants

open access: yesJournal of Visualized Experiments, 2009
To perceive potential pathogens in their environment, plants use pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) present on their plasma membranes. PRRs recognize conserved microbial features called pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and this detection ...

Omission of Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Breast Cancer: A Real‐World Validation of the Patient Populations of the SOUND and INSEMA Trials

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Treatment guidelines recommending omission of axillary surgery in breast cancer are largely based on the SOUND and INSEMA trials. However, the extent to which their study populations represent real‐world patients remains unclear.

Impact of molecular configuration on the photoluminescence and electrical characteristics of poly-pyrrol-thiazol-imine polymers films

open access: yesScientific Reports
The optical, photoluminescence, and electrical properties of Poly(Z)-PTI and Poly(E)-PTI, two Poly-Pyrrol-Thiazol-Imine polymers with comparable chemical structures but distinct configurations, were examined.

A DUF3455 domain‐containing protein promotes Ustilaginoidea virens infection and functions as a plant immune elicitor

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, EarlyView.
The fungal effector UvDUF1 from Ustilaginoidea virens not only promotes infection but also acts as a plant immunity elicitor, inducing broad‐spectrum disease resistance in rice and Nicotiana benthamiana. These results reveal its potential as a novel target for sustainable crop protection strategies.

The Immunity Regulator BAK1 Contributes to Resistance Against Diverse RNA Viruses

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2013
The plant's innate immune system detects potential biotic threats through recognition of microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) or danger-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) by pattern recognition receptors (PRR).

3D-printed Ti6Al4V scaffolds coated with freeze-dried platelet-rich plasma as bioactive interface for enhancing osseointegration in osteoporosis

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2020
The serious complications after arthroplasty in patients with osteoporosis is a challenge for orthopedics. Three-dimensional (3D)-printed porous titanium (pTi) alloys have the character of low stiffness, similar to cortical bone, and are seemed as ...

Measurement of the Surface Gravity of $\eta$ Boo

open access: yes, 2007
Direct angular size measurements of the G0IV subgiant $\eta$ Boo from the Palomar Testbed Interferometer are presented, with limb-darkened angular size of $\theta_{LD}= 2.1894^{+0.0055}_{-0.0140} $ mas, which indicate a linear radius of $R=2.672 \pm 0 ...

Minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusion: Primary endpoint results from the prospective, multicenter STACI study

open access: yesPM&R, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Chronic sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain is highly debilitating. Minimally invasive SIJ fusion has become a commonly performed surgical treatment for SIJ pain, with level I evidence showing clinically significant improvements in pain, function, and quality of life and a low adverse event rate.
