The ApHSF–ApCtf1β2–ApCUT3 Cascade Couples Host ROS Detoxification to Cuticle Penetration During Fungal Pathogenesis

The ApHSF–ApCtf1β2–ApCUT3 transcriptional cascade links fungal adaptation to host‐derived ROS with cuticle penetration during infection. ApHSF promotes ROS detoxification and activates ApCtf1β2, which induces ApCUT3 expression and cuticle degradation, thereby coordinating oxidative stress adaptation with host barrier penetration.
