Safety and Efficacy of Adoptive Transfer of Stem Cell Memory Enriched Virus Specific T Cells against CMV and EBV

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
This study finds that CD8⁺ TSCM cells exhibit superior self‐renewal, differentiation, and antiviral activity. Transcriptome and epigenome analyses highlight MAPK cascade regulation in TSCM cells. In vivo, virus‐specific TSCM cells show enhanced persistence and tumor protection.

Localization of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders to the stomach might be associated with favorable outcome: A systematic review

open access: yesSaudi Journal of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation, 2014
Gastric localization of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLDs) is very rare. In this study, we aimed to accumulate existing data in the current literature to reveal the clinical, histopathological and prognostic specificities associated ...

Epstein‐Barr Virus Infection at Single‐Cell Resolution

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) infection has been studied at single‐cell resolution for six decades and counting. Such investigations can reveal virus‐host interactions and their dependence on viral strain, cellular niche, infection program, immune response regulation, and time.

Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disease – PTLD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Transplantation of solid organs has been successful in large part due to the development of immunosuppressive regimens that have controlled the recipient's immune system from rejecting the allograft. By suppressing recipient T lymphocytes with cyclosporin or tacrolimus or reversing rejection with antilymphocyte agents such as ATGAM or OKT3, rejection ...

Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease After Pediatric Organ and Bone Marrow Transplantation

open access: yesJGH Open, Volume 10, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Previous studies have shown an increased prevalence of eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease (EGID) in pediatric liver and heart transplant recipients. However, EGID after other solid organ and bone marrow transplantations has not been extensively evaluated.

Organ Transplantation: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Prospects

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Organ transplantation success relies on precise modulation of the alloimmune response across distinct temporal phases of rejection. Hyperacute rejection results from preformed antibodies activating complement and causing thrombosis, while acute rejection involves T cell‐ and antibody‐mediated mechanisms that drive endothelial activation and ...

Colonic Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in a Liver Transplant Patient with Historically Very Low Tacrolimus Levels

open access: yesCase Reports in Transplantation, 2012
Posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLDs) comprise a wide spectrum of hematologic malignancies that are found increasingly in orthotopic liver transplant (OLT) patients given the rising frequency of these surgeries and their long-term success.
