Pleistocene Forest Stability Predicts Patterns of Frog Diversity in Central Africa [PDF]
Ecol EvolUsing high‐resolution paleoclimate reconstructions, we quantified habitat stability for Central African rainforests across 257 time slices since the early Pleistocene. Stacked projections of forest‐dependent frog niches identify both a large, continuous refugium and smaller, highly stable forest blocks embedded within today's forest cover.
