We introduce a new technique for harvesting cancellous bone, the pubic bone graft. The pubic bone graft is a predictable and efficient technique that yields an ample harvest of rich cancellous bone. With experience gained from multiple fresh cadaver dissections, we present this technique in detail, including our most recent clinical application to ...

Familial Pubic Bone Maldevelopment
Radiology, 1971The case histories of a family demonstrating familial maldevelopment of the os pubis without associated developmental anomalies are evaluated. Ossification of the Pubic Bones at Birth
Radiology, 1956The primary ossification center for the pubic bone usually appears in the superior ramus between the fourth and sixth fetal lunar months (1, 3, 5, 10). It was detected roentgenographically in all fetuses of 340 mm. length (full term) in the series of 640 specimens reported by Francis (3). Obata (7) and Rambaud and Renault (8) described the early center

Adult females and pubic bone growth
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1998Previous research (Tague [1994] Am. J. Phys. Anthropol. 95:27-40) has shown an age effect in pubic bone length among adult women. Tague found that in three prehistoric Native American skeletal samples, women aged 18-24 had a significantly shorter linea terminalis than did women aged 25 and older.

Resection of chondrosarcoma of the pubic bone
European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology, 2002The incision often described in resection of the pubic bone is one that essentially traces the outline of this bone from the pubic tubercle along the superior pubic ramus, the pubic symphysis, and then the inferior pubic ramus all the way to the ischial tuberosity.

Pubic Bone Age Estimation in Adult Women*
Journal of Forensic Sciences, 2008Abstract: In recent years, numerous physical anthropologists have pointed out the need for regional standards for estimating age in various world populations.
